The company is setting up the program, not the insurance companies. Yes, this will cut into their bottom line profits but they would rather have 30% from the 60% (just an example), instead of 0. If this is the difference to get the patients on drug, then it is a good COMPANY PROGRAM. Companies bite the bullet on a percentage of patients all the time. Indigent, patient assistance, coupons, rebates, samples ect...However, this is a built in program for convenience and especially compliance. My point is, pharmaceutical and Biotech companies profit margin is so huge that they can afford the front end and maintenance incentives.

Patients can't afford to pay for Ibalizumab but the insurance companies will cover it.

Me too my wife is a RN. $40-50 An hour is what they make idk how much is billed out from a co. Mega though.
