Boards generally defer to management recommendations but at the end of the day have to hold management accountable for results. Dan was given a long leash of four years, but the stock price deterioration coupled with his extremely generous bonus comp he gave himself forced the Board to recognize (I'm sure with the nudge if folks like Broadfin) that Dans agenda was self serving and not aligned with the financial interests of ADXS investors.
