I think that's the point of all this cloak n dagger. Another firm certainly could make an offer but it has no idea how much Zimmers bid is atm. That gives Zimmer distinct advantage. Also since Zimmer is cross developing tech with Amedica I'm not sure there is anything competition can do at this juncture. Anything developed between Zimmer and Amedica would be lost to a competitor.
