What is really shocking is that a basic patentability search conducted prior to filing a patent would have uncovered that patent and saved them a lot of time and money!
Unless, of course, the real goal was the PR value of making the claims of a self-powered lens to sell shares? I'd like to know what percentage of EPGL shareholders bought in over that claim?
Their whole contact lens powered by eye movement using piezos "invention" was already invented AND patented!
Is it really surprising that we have seen no real interest in their patents?
