Liver cancer: MHH treated 100. Patients with new minimally invasive method
By chemosaturation, tumors can be targeted and effectively combated / Invitation to press talks with patients on 18 August 2017
Chemosaturation is an innovative minimally invasive treatment method for patients with liver cancer and metastatic tumors in the liver. In 2014 specialists from the Medical University of Hannover (MHH) used this complex procedure, in which the liver is flooded with a highly dosed chemotherapeutic agent by means of the hammers, for the first time in two patients. In the meantime the 100th patient was treated in this way. This makes MHH one of the world's leading centers for chemosaturation. In a press interview, we would like to inform the media representatives about the method, application possibilities and past experiences.
We invite all media representatives to the press conference on
- Friday, 18 August 2017 - at 11 o'clock - in the conference room at the MHH Lounge, building K6, Carl-Neuberg-Straße 1, 30625 Hannover.
Your call partners are
- Professor Dr. Frank Wacker, Director of the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology - Professor Dr. Michael Manns, Director of the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endocrinology - Sabine F., patient treated with chemosaturation, and - Joachim S., patient treated with chemosaturation.
