Here was the suggestions we got from someone we know up there...Might help you as well....

Happy to help! Unfortunately Broadway ticket prices are ridiculous which is why I rarely go unless I win a ticket lottery or some such. But The Book of Mormon has two lotteries, actually—a digital and an in-person.

LOTTERY:
The daily in-person lottery info can be found here: http://bookofmormonbroadway.com/tickets

Basically, they take names 2.5 hours before curtain, winners are drawn 2 hours before curtain, and it's two tickets per winner for great $32 seats. If it's like most shows, they usually have between 20-30 tix dispersed this way. I'm not sure how crowded/popular it is these days so can't speak to odds, but I have friends who have seen the show this way.

There is also a daily digital lottery here: http://www.luckyseat.com/book-of-mormon/

That lottery is run by Jujumycn (the theatre owner, they own the Eugene O'Neill where BOM plays and I think 4 other Bway houses). Winners are notified by 12pm the day before the performance. You can't enter until a week out. I believe those tix are $50 each.

The upside of the lottery is great tix for less; the downside is you don't know until the day before or the day of if you won.

TKTS:

TKTS is a booth in the heart of Times Square that sells tickets to Bway shows the day of the performance, usually for about 50% off. It's a great way to see shows for less, but the super hot shows are not often on there. I think BOM is sometimes listed, but not often. Here are the shows listed for today, just as an example:

Maybe you could try the BOM lottery and if that's a bust you can go to TKTS and see what's listed on there?

REGULAR-PRICED:

If you have your heart set on BOM and don't wanna risk the lottery, the Eugene O'Neill is a smallish theatre for a Broadway house, so there aren't any BAD seats I don't think. I actually often prefer to sit the mezzanine for shows. Here's the view from one of the back rows of the Mezz at the O'Neill:

Even mezz full-price is up there but at least it's not the ridiculous "premium" orchestra seats that keep going up and up and up. :(
