A couple things about your post. First, I think Trump will have the FTC cancel the Whole Foods merger and announce that any other significant buyout attempt by AMZN, will be thoroughly vetted. E. commerce and AMZN, particularly, is trashing the US RE market. 2/3's of US assets are in RE and a large portion of that is in stores or shopping malls.
The US can't let this trend continue, as it will crash the banks and tax bases as more properties go under. Trump isn't going to allow Bezos' WAPO to continue to destroy him through false, misleading or negative articles, which are often syndicated to other papers, in other cities.
Lastly, CNBC's Cramer made a point about AMZN's cloud business the other day. He said, Wal-Mart can put a lot of pressure on the suppliers of Amazon, but also the pressure could be put on those suppliers to stop using A's cloud AWS sub. This is about the only part that makes any earnings or cash flow, so having it lose customers to sign up with it's competitors would cause cash flow problems.
