BK's Intel would very much rather divert attention to other things. No
surprise IDCs ended under his watch.

R&D, manufacturing, process development, sales, profits are so grubby
and pedestrian; the stuff of engineers, MBAs, accountants and other "little
thinkers".

BK is way beyond that, a "big thinker", a visionary, he's trying to make a
*better society* dude! Shareholders and white and Asian male employees
be damned! You can't make an omelette withing breaking a few hyper
competent but wrong gendered/coloured egg heads comrade! :-D

Golfbum: I wish there were new products to discuss!

The trickle of skylake architecure 14nm chips is entirely competent but kind of boring. There are no consumer optane SSDs. AMD kind of stole Intel's thunder with their Threadripper hype. The press is kind of falling back into AMD is the underdog and ooooooh cheaper mode. It makes me wonder what kind of reception Skylake X is going to receive. The last enthusiast focused product was Devil's canyon(2nd gen Haswell spin) and then Intel sort of went on cruise control. Here's hoping they turn it around :(
