We've done food tours in many different cities. Some are great. Some are not.....so far, Seattle was our favorite, but a lot depends on the guide.
I would think NYC has some good ones, but in reading Yelp yesterday, I wasn't impressed. Sounded like they'd give you a small taste then expect you to purchase the rest.
We are thinking go to a matinee then out to eat, but I do want something authentic, and still not sure where to go.
I'm thinking a great Italian place that is all homemade would be best.

I have a question for you.....
So, we are planning our trip and we want to stay at all the nice places, but nonetheless, am suffering some sticker shock. Theater tickets are $500 per couple....hotel at the Courtyard LaGuardia is about $325 per night.
I can understand some places we are staying in Maine on the ocean for $600 per night, but $325 for a Courtyard???
Does that strike you as high, or is that just typical NY prices? Do you all think nothing of spending $250 for theater tickets? ....If so, just don't understand how people can afford to live there.
