agreed..when kim failed to deliver on his part of the contract, a new time frame had to be granted...imo, kim offered to send fibers and thread now with shoot packs later...i don't think it's too much of a stretch for the army to have added in something on their behalf..such as custom fiber..

and i doubt it's intended to be the mother of all fibers...just a demonstration that kblb can create a customized fiber...as claimed..

I sort of think that's my point.
The contract is really only a $100k contract that basically states we will give you $100k for some shoot packs.
That's it.

If they like the results they would award a "second contract" worth 900k to be determined at that time.
Phase 2 is a second contract that is stipulated to depend on satisfaction of the first.

If they didn't like it we would be paid 100k and it's over.

The details of the second "phase" are unknown.
How do you sign a contract without knowing what you are agreeing with?

The army will deliver a contract worth 900k to kblb with stipulations for a 3rd "phase"(contract) if the second one meets their expectations.
From now till the end of time anything we produce will reference a case file that started with our first phase and ends with us being a producer.

When a product is approved we will get a new case file as a supplier and not just a R&D contact.
