HERE IS MY COMMENT IN TODAY’S Financial Times:
Medical cannabis is now legal in Israel, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Chile, and Uruguay, and legal in some 28 States in the USA.
Israel is probably the leader in medical research, and is about to export its cannabis products. Canada is already exporting medical cannabis products to Germany, Brazil and Australia.
A small Swiss company has popped lately thanks to its cannabis products.
Shares in medical cannabis companies are publicly traded in stock exchanges (some on senior exchanges) in Germany, Canada, Australia and the USA.
Early day investors are showing returns of 200% to 500%... yet they say it is only starting…
This sector is a new growth area for the world economy, and there is no excuse that main media (including the FT) do not to cover this new frontier in a serious manner. My God, if media had not have covered the poppy plant, and the medicines that are produced from that plant, then humankind would have had to suffer from needless pain… This is the same with this cannabis plant…. and all the medicines possibly coming from it.
People are disregarding orthodox medical opinion and they are (in their millions) using cannabis to treat: AIDs, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, asthma, cancer, Crohn’s, gastrointestinal disorders, epilepsy and its seizures, glaucoma, hepatitis C, migraines, multiple sclerosis, muscle spasms, post traumatic stress….. and on and on….
The world needs more research into the efficacy of cannabis treatments.
It is not time that governments catch up with patients … their citizens ... and put money into researching medical cannabis?
