FA:

Well, I apologize for any misunderstanding, but this is the sequence of events.

You posted your 6 picks: TMR HEC TGB BWLRF GBN PMU

Then you asked me if any of them were wild cards.

I told you that PMU was a wild card.

You then said to take out PMU and short the dow via whatever the appropriate ETF. I told you that was DXD.

Finally, you sent me the revised version which included DXD and said you didn't want any wild cards.

All this happened on Friday afternoon when there were tons of things going on. I guess it didn't occur to me that you didn't know that a short was a wild card. Here is where I have publicly stated that a short position is a wild card.

PSL3: "If you want to make that your WILD CARD, you can. However, if you want to make it a short, you can do that instead." http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=13102797

PSL3: "Thus, we think it makes sense to allow selected shorts as one option for the WILD CARD." http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?Message_id=12937298

PSL4: "Thus, we think it makes sense to allow selected shorts as one option for the WILD CARD."

PSL4 IBOX: "14) There will be one wild card allowed. One of your picks can deviate from the VMC rule - either in terms of earnings, or in terms of being a pinky, or in terms of a short position (see below)."

PRIVATE MESSAGE TO YOU: 9-14-06, 2:04:18 AM: "Remember, if you want to short a position, you can use your wild card for that purpose. You can short any ETF."

PRIVATE MESSAGE TO YOU: 9-12-06, 3:26:24 AM: "You can pick 4 regular qualifiers, 1 cash and 1 wild card that could be a market short or a non earner."

I don't know what your objection to having a something classified as a wild card is, but you can always make a transaction to compensate for it.
