I would guess that this is a lot deeper (no pun intended) than just $$ in their portfolios. Too much PASSIONATE WORK done to get it out in 3 years.

Correct, the US Govt' may also have a say in a buyout.

I don't recall hearing "capable", thought the goal was to DO IT.

Not much satisfaction for someone else to prove them correct.
