what you are using is the bid/ask data, not buy and sell orders.

i have bought plenty of penny stocks at both the bid and the ask. that means that some of my buys show as buys and others show as sells, even though they are the exact same type of trade.

it's real simple, anyone who claims to know the number of buys and sells is selling hot air.
