ohhhh the memories....that was the first car that I wrecked the clutch on! what a night that was.......

my brother had his girlfriend visiting from college, and he wanted private time....so he trained me how to drive his stick shift challenger for about 10 minutes--I drove to one end of the street, turned around, and drove back home....Well, short story long...I camped out at a red light for about 10 minutes that night, and finally this man and his son pulled up next to me and asked me if I had the car in 1st gear...'well, of COURSE I do", said I, and then when he went thru the light and was gone, I took the stick shift from 3rd to 1st--I don't even know if they had synchronized or meshed or what ever they call it, then....But, later, at another stop light, I had to flag down a police officer, cause the gears would not shift--he had to get down on the ground and look ubder the car....and he did something with his hand, and after that I could shift gears! he told me i scrambled up some links or something....well, my brother had a very nice evening with his gorlfriend (who became his wife), and all he had to pay for was a new clutch on his car....not too bad, huh?

OT: Never got into the sports cars myself.. Liked some of the muscle cars but didn't want to own one.. My taste leans to the classic type...57 & 55/56 Chevy's most.. Sold my 57 too early.. Wish still had it..

Sirius speaks of 280ZZ.. Never counted how many ZZ'ss I got sleeping at night!!! LOL
