It is just growing into one of those things.
Taking a few excerpts from my book to answer
You know, it is so blatantly illegal and obvious manipulation, it is turning into funny. Not for the multi millions who spend their lives pumping a few hundred more every day to feed these parasitic wall street sobs their billions per day but to those trading back when specialist were normal #1 crux. When BA could announce largest order ever & go up a dollar then drop $4 in 30 minutes and stay down a week or until retail margined out or just took the hickey. Then BA magically went up 8 or 10 dollars. That was the specs. we knew and understood. But decimals and stealing were supposed to make them obsulete and gone.
Back awhile I heard the CEO of NYSE explaining how this introduction of the Designated Market Maker (DMM) would help retail by putting person in the loop who could buy or sell shares from their acct. to smooth mkt. fluctuations and I knew this was specs type rules & we were fucked. And I was right. They take over more stocks everyday and trades mean nothing. They just take anything up or down any amount at will. And if you really understand L2 & T & S, you can see it all day long. Create the momo and traders will follow anything any direction as long as it last whether it is SIRI to $50. or AMZN to $500.
GOOGL had good ER yesterday and dropped 30 - 35 $s. If ER is traded correctly it goes up 30 - 35 $s. Option folks made over a billion dollars on that little manip. plus their regular half to one billion per day. And the talking heads always give suckers a reason GOOGL went down. And they lay much of that off thru rigged option trades into offshore accts. so their ERs show regular struggling co. But they own and continually retain title of having stolen more money from more people than anyone or anything in the history of the world and they are getting greedier daily.
All the above is my opinion. I can not prove any of it but you can bet your sweet ass it is 100 % correct. imo
