Oh I left a lot of stuff out. Another one is a bogus $10 million asset on the balance sheet that was paid for with $1 million worth of stock. That should get one to wonderin'. Especially if the most vocal company supporters try to pass it off as "an accounting mistake".
There's almost no end to the red flags....big and small.

If....
a company issues a dozen or so press releases in one day, a day that the Founder/CEO happens to be out of town.
a company's most persistent promoter has a visit from the local constable and after they leave he accuses them of purloining his favorite bic lighter...
a company swears that there's a market for the stuff that clogs up the equipment during the production process requiring regular removal...
at any point a company says that it can use something called "raggertail" for raw material...
a company has an office in Mexico that no one can find...
you hear the phrase "FREE PLASTIC!" (or Free Anything for that matter)...


There's lots of stuff to watch out for when investing in the "alternative energy" sector.
