I would also have expected to see an actual signature. And an address for Lyons, even if only an e-mail address.

Why? I don't think your assertion is correct without a little more information.

I'm not an attorney, and I suspect you aren't either, given the name you chose to post from.

Someone else on another board said Lyons preferred not to have his email address exposed, and so Berman sent the "letter" to Lyons with his express approval.

I have no idea whether that is true or not but, it seems plausible. To me, Berman sending that letter, without Lyons' approval, seems less plausible.

I do agree, however, that the resignation letter was irregular. But irregular, may not be invalid.

To me, much to do, about nothing.
