How many pre-clinical studies have you run? My guess is none so your opinion is highly biased and completely uninformed.
There could be a multitude of reasons why this is taking longer than originally planned. For one, they have developed a new signal and a new device, so that itself could easily take 6 months to design and engineer.
The other thing is that they could be doing trial runs to calibrate everything before running the whole study, so they could have very strong positive data that needs to be run as a complete study to verify the results and to have a large enough sample size. This would also coincide with developing a new signal and device.
Biotech is either a swing trade strategy or a long strategy, there really is no in between.
