That being said have tremendous repect for John McCain and wish him and his family the best during his treatment. John McCain is an American hero. The bravery and tenacity he demonstrated during his captivity by the North Vietnamese is virtually unparalleled. In spite of being tortured and having inadequate medical attention during his captivity, John McCain turned down an offer to be set free by his captors because his fellow air men were not made the same offer.
