In my opinion, the fact that the slight improvement over the other arms happened in the 200mg group (highest dosage) and the fact that we have excellent preclinical results, I believe there are good odds it's due to P and didn't just occur by chance.

Exactly why they decided to run the 2b. If efficacy had been in the placebo or one of the lower doses only, that would have been a deal killer.

There is a minimum dosage for every drug to work. Hopefully 200mg is that dosage for Prurisol. If 300 works and 400 works even better. Then "game on". They can plot a safety/efficacy curve and choose the best dosage along that line. Ex 250mg might be the best balance of safety/efficacy or it might be 325. (Doesn't have to be any of the current or previous dosages used so far.)

If this trial generates a good dose response curve we're off to the races. Any day now, we are already in q3.
