Since that time, the company has been operated by founder, CEO David Cunic, a licensed physical therapist and entrepreneur. He was a board member of the New Jersey Cannabusiness Association, a trade association established last year by former New Jersey Assemblyman Scott Rudder.

Rudder said that Cunic was suspended from participation on the organization's board after the Farinella charges were made public, pending outcome of the investigation.

"Nearly five years ago James Farinella, formerly an independent consultant of Pazoo, Inc., is alleged to have committed illegalities in regards to the trading of Pazoo’s stock," a Pazoo spokesperson told the Daily Record. "We are dismayed, disappointed, and shocked to learn about this alleged illegal conduct. Mr. Farinella is not now and has not been involved with Pazoo for more than a year. Our company is not named as a party in any of the legal actions. Our subsidiary, MA & Associates LLC, in Las Vegas, Nev., remains open for business and Pazoo is current on all of its filings and remains trading."
