I doubt Stan understands the stock market or even cares about it. He grew up through the depression, he probably thinks the stock market is evil. I think Stan is more interested in getting paid for his work, not trying to build the company.
I've read plenty of reports, from people getting autographs from Stan, that say Stan looks like a zombie signing. Stan doesn't look at the fan or talk to them, he just signs and goes to sign the next object. But, he is getting paid per signature.
Stan and Gill did plenty of commenting through Chinese news sites. There was just a lack of coverage in the US.
