The iBox is off limits for admins to monitor the same as posts to the boards are. They don't attest to the veracity of anything. That would put them in the position of caretakers of your investment decisions.
Mods aren't vetted. They simply have to see that the TOU is adhered to. If they show they can't, they're removed.
I'm sorry but you've assumed very wrong. Admin is removed from judging ibox/intro page. A board mod is not vetted except the prerequisite is normally posting 4 recent posts to the board you're applying to. Admin possibly looks at a members posting histories, but I'm not sure. The 4 post rule isn't always followed either. As many have said, a board mods only job is to keep the tos.
Years ago the ibox was editable by any mod, but that has changed to only a mod can change their own data. A mod can not even move data on that page. It may be possible to effect the info data if all mods agree to do so. That will never happen.
And your idea of correct is not the same as anyones else idea of correct. A Ihub member is correctly prohibited from forcing their opinion of right or wrong on others via the info box now a days.
Your only recourse is to contact the other mods of the board to gain agreement and acceptance of your stand. Even as a mod, you could not edit anything other than your own data.
