Last Friday, the second or third last trade was a 911. What came before market open Monday but a RARE pre-open PR dropped on us to start the week off on the right foot. BAM. Connection?
I've seen it's magic play out a couple other times w/ my own eyes here. Over 18 years, too many times to deny. Does it get played by jokers here, sometimes? Sure. But, where do we think the time tested, although not 100% of the time rings true, saying, "buy on rumor, sell on news" comes from? No different than in D.C. where you have leakers. MM's know and they know FOR A REASON. Maybe just a few key ones, maybe just the AX, and yes, that's their alert to the rest of the pack.
Some argue why wouldn't they text each other or IM or something like that(?), as though MM signals are archaic..."so 90's" or 30's for that matter, when in reality, it's the most simple and logical way for them to quickly communicate since they all definitely got their eyeballs GLUED to the tickers. Why move the eyeballs? Why interrupt the flow? See the signal, know who it came from, know the role you play in the game of market making, and move accordingly. Decision made at the speed of thought...done.
Note also that the last trade today of 911 was actually done @ .00195...not one of us just having fun throwing money away for a laugh. An MM did that, IMSO. It's black on the ticker tape. Unknown price. Somewhere in the middle. .00195 it was.
Nope. Not one of us. Not this time, I strongly believe, anyway.
I'm thinking could be start of finny flow tomorrow. I'm thinking around market open if so, if not before.
