DCTH has been heavily shorted. There is news coming soon in the form of interim data (forget buyout, mergers, that's all conjecture at this point).

What do you suppose will happen when all those shorts try to cover at the same time when the data is released, presuming it's as effective here as in Europe?

Remember, DCTH is slowly wiping away any exposure to the toxic notes. It converted $4M last week to preferred shares. There isn't much debt remaining.
