they may well be exploring ways to use CNG but that was in early 2016 and he is could well confused - he is CEO of a logistics mega corporation the technology isn't his forte. They should be doing both fuel cell and CNG vehicle trials and he may well have assumed it was one trial.
Please show me any description of a CNG based Fuel cell in a delivery vehicle or other moving object (car, fork lift, AGV etc), AFAIK they are stationary fuel cells
What we do know is they definitely are deploying Hydrogen Fuel cell vehicles. Especially in California where there is a network of filling stations (even though you only need one)
