Lolaspike, with this OTTV post...

Wow! thanks for articulating such logic and how such relates to OTTV. I must admit that I'm a little antiquated on some things and having cable or satellite channels are one of them. Huge price difference with streaming. I downloaded the app and it is awesome! I think all should download and review for themselves:

All should read what you have posted:

Cable/Satellite TV makes no sense to me anymore. Having been a customer at one time or another from Directv, Time Warner, Dish to my last cable company Cox. The pain of installations, contracts, customer service problems, not to mention paying for a lot of channels I do not watch and those cable box rentals (I had 3).
Ever try cancelling service on the phone with any of these companies? It's a joke...from transfers to being hung up on and I know they are hoping I give up.

However, my last bill was $291. My contract ended with cox on May 25th and the discounted bundle of $231. Tried cancelling on the phone and to no avail. They tried desperately to get me to sign back up.
I ended up driving to one of the cox stores and dropping off my 3 cable boxes. Now I just have internet with them For $85 a month (150mbps).

Viva live has all the channels I usually watch plus all local channels which I don't know what other services have them all. $34.95 a month, no contract and no cable box rentals and not to mention they sent me a free box. Imagine taking you TV service with you if you move or travel?

All my Tvs are smart tvs and when VivaLive gets on any of major TV brand app center, look out! Currently I watch TV via my firetv which I side loaded the VIVALiveTV app on it through my Samsung android phone. Works fantastic.

Dish Tv has sling Tv and DIRECTV has the Directv Now app for streaming live TV. Sling has no local channels and Directv only a couple. Cox and TimeWarner (now Spectrum) better get on board or I don't see them being in the TV business for long.

I have owned the Netflix stock in the past and saw the stock soar on subscription sales and split. Currently it is at $153. 100 million subscribers worldwide, $8B+ annual sales and no live TV. IMO Netflix is a luxury where Live TV streaming is a necessity.

OTTV is unbelievably cheap and not for long IMO. Thanks to PB for his DD and keeping it real and steady. He spoils all of us with his DD.

No joke but IMO I will see you all in dollar land...the potential is there and I am not pumping. Wait and see how many subscribers sign up this month, next quarter and next year. GLTA

YouTube is offering streaming TV also for $35 a month. How does the VIVA service compare to the YouTube service? Has anyone tried or compared both?

Thank you all for explaining that "verbiage" for me as well as the additional explanations of today's filings. I felt pretty confident in my decision today to not only hold but also adding but I have to admit that all the negative post were making me a little nervous! Thank you again.. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and hopefully it leads into a great Monday for OTTV!!
