You understand enough about it to get it. Your timing is simply off. Of course they started covering at 5.70. But the stock didn't bottom at 5.70 until several days after June 15th, and the short interest number is as of June 15th. So you cannot conclude that even at 5.70 they were not covering. They were, and they are. Understand?
