"KBLB never disclosed the location of their pilot plant, though again, my assumption is that this was in Lam Dong province, Vietnam. During a conference call, KT said the facility was discontinued due to issues of 'quality control.'"
it was also stated that Vietnam would be the solution to the quality control issues due to their wonderful infrastructure....thus, they were never in Vietnam..
"though KBLB has recently confirmed the existence of MS silkworms in their indication that they were considering a cross-breeding between MS and DS to produce a new generation of silk with the characteristics of both."
in the latest newsletter, kim says nothing about crossbreeding..he only indicates they need to acclimate the worms to vietnam's climate before they begin mass production...he also refers to kblb's worms as "worms"..never mentions ms..
"This combination of a Greenfield location and existing infrastructure will allow us to rapidly move from the introduction of our silkworms to the Vietnamese climate to metric ton scaled operations."
