But it's a "testament" of some sort to Gene and his PR machine that NNVC has been able to generate as much conversation as it does for such a small company.

I am confused. I have owned the stock for about two years and I guess that makes me a newbe. During this time Gene has been routinely criticized for an almost total lack of information sharing. In years past Gene has apparently put out overly optimistic PR's but since I have owned the stock the company has said nothing optimistic and in fact little or nothing at all of any substance. I find it hard to characterize this unresponsiveness as a PR machine.

It seems that the lack of PR's is the driving force for most of the conversations I read.

I don't think that the "PR machine" by NNVC's efforts has much to do with the level of message board chatter associated with the company.

IMO it's due to efforts being made outside the company and its principals. We can (and have often) debate the motivation of those other parties - promotional or negative.

The fact that your associate/friend notes the conversation as being that far from the normal also doesn't surprise me. I've got several other similar size biotechnology companies I follow and have followed for years,... none of the comes close to the level of consistent chatter as does NNVC.

There's just way too much interest (again - both negative and positive) relative to their level of 'success' to date. IMO - this unusual attention is there for a reason,....

Just not always sure what that reason actually is. But I do have some ideas.

Yes, Gene is like that guy who invented the first Nigerian prince scam. And think of all the hope, losses, and talk that idea created.
