The company appears to believe that they will have an announcement ready by the end of June, as evidenced by this email I received on June 19th:

The granting of licenses to grow, research, sell medicinal mj in south africa is quite sensitive, especially for the Duffields, who hail from England. Native people want to grow it in their yards and land and just smoke it for wellness - naturally - one can't fault people, anywhere, for this. Some want to get a piece of the profits;; naturally. But medicinal requires mj be measured, tested, quantified, etc. Duffields have hands-on rehabbed a large farm in sa, over years. This is generally a project that fly by night promoters DON'T take on. They have created a number of jobs in the process, on a $multi-million loan from the SAfrican govt. I'm guessing Duffield and govt downplay this relationship so as not to raise the ire of grassroots and local objectors. (Now, Duffield sr. and jr. are no doubt great scientists and farmers but still must show they can be good ceo's, or can hire the right people to be...)
What I'm saying:the recent silence from the co speaks volumes imo. The hour (for the license) is very near.
This is all just conjecture on my part. Long.
