I asked my broker a few weeks ago, he said a company can choose the date of name change. They request finra to postpone the date. I have not researched this, just trusted what he told me. Hope that helps. If I am wrong, could someone correct?

NR Johnson is correct, RO says the company has been asking him about Finra and the change so there is no holding of name change by company
