#74726 RE: The Stock Warlock #74672

The distinction is in the indica and sativa

Hemp is a cousin different "branch" of the family but is not the same . Unfortunately the press has made the THC the factor in determining what is and is not cannabis or hemp (0.3%). That is REALLY wrong and what confuses people.

That is why hemp CBD and cannabis CBD are NOT the same, though telling this crowd that gets your scorned.

Great paragraph:Hemp seed oil vs cannabis oil: Are they the same?

The simple answer to the question above is no. Hemp seed oil is extracted by pressing the seeds of the female cannabis hemp plant. The hemp oil extracted is very nutritious. For example, hemp seed oil contains twice the levels of omega 3 found in olive oil and has half the calories.

However, unlike whole-plant cannabis oil, hemp seed oil does not contain any active cannabinoids. These cannabinoids are the main compounds found in the cannabis plant that have anti-cancer properties. Thus, hemp seed oil is considered to be more of a dietary supplement than a medicine designed to battle cancer. Patients looking to treat various forms of cancer or other ailments will want to look into whole-plant cannabis oil treatments (e.g., Rick Simpson Oil).

Living in NC I would be quick to tell you that trying to grow ANY STRAIN under indica, or sativa of combo hybrid will not end well.

That's not to say I agree with it--but there is a distinction.

And as you noted hemp is more closely related to sativa--a tall growing variety, and indica is more "bushy" in stature. Making it ideal indoor growing.

Just about every strain in Med MJ today is a hybrid--and that bodes well for finding a cross that has all the benefits of CBD and none of the drawbacks of THC.

At least that is one of the tings we are shooting for.
