Acoustic monitoring does have good scientific data behind it though.
Sigmas patent also includes that an acoustic monitoring? device could be applied.
Also Honeywell, GE, Boeing, Reinshaw, probably every company we've dealt with have their own patent applications for particular processes.
Just each company protecting themselves as usual.
With ours being very unique compared to the average optical, or basic sensor data I feel were well protected.
