If you want to call shipping several million risk units in the first quarter of the product "a paper launch" that is totally up to you... I call it taking an appropriate risk.
In terms of entry into the low end with conroe, it is not clear how much upside versus downside 3 months makes here. I would much rather see them delay it 3 months than make a strategic mistake.
I guess an undertone of your position is that if Intel had ramped conroe faster Dell would not have taken on any AMD product. I don't buy that argument. --Alan
