Arch,

Since Doc T is using a digital camera to measure iris color, would it be helpful to him if we took a real close up with our digital camera and e-mail it to him? We are no where near Sarasota, but would be happy to help in this way if possible.

Please advise, and thank you.

P.S. Have FUN at the fair! I love fairs!

"N.Y. officials say remains of 1000 might never be identified"

A headline in my local paper,The CEDAR RAPIDS GAZETTE 8/14/2003
They write about only 100 of the World Trade Center Victims have been identified in the last year, as tecnicians struggled with DNA degrading and damaged by fire and the elements.

Robert Shaler, chief of forensic biology said he hopes for about 1700 or 1800 of the 2792 victems to be identified by the time the office exhaust available DNA matching methods.
"I think once we've done all the testing on all of the remains using the technology we have. I think were finished" Shaler said.
He cautioned that he didn't mean the Trade Center DNA effort would be closed forever. But said it couldn't continue until NEW DNA processes were developed.

Arch, the reason I addressed this to you is your thought on DNAP helping out in this efffort? and it appears that Dr. T and you have a good working relation.

Any thought on the above?

Jim

REPOST! Here it is again

OK troops I am all setteled in at the fair and I have a good
cellphone connection. I have not read the posts today so I dont
know if Doc T sent this to other folks or not. I just want to get it out for him. Looks like they need some more pics of peoples eyes. I dont like to post private mail but I dont want
to mess this up so here is Doc Ts message to me.

Arch,

I was wondering if you would be able/willing to spread the word that we need any Sarasota area DNAP investors to come in and donate a DNA sample. Each person that comes by will get a $5 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble (good for books or coffee). We are using a digital camera now to measure iris color that is part of our validation/optimization study and we are in the process of collecting another 1,000 samples. Even if a person has donated before we'd appreciate it if they could come by for another donation. We are set up in the conference room to handle donors all day long M-F, 8AM to 5PM, later by appointment (email admin@dnaprint.com to set up later appointments).

By the way, each of your leads is followed up on and we have initiated work for several of the cases so far. Thank you for your help.

Tony.

Come on folks Doc T needs some help. Lets see if we can lend a
helping hand. I am NOT going to post this on the main board.
They would have---well you know. So if you have any folks that
are in the area that you talk to PLEASE let them know of this need. Well I hope I did this in the right way. I was just afraid to try to say it in my own words. PLEASE give Doc T a helping hand if you can. THANKS

Take Care
Arch

Arch, catching up and caught your post from Tony. You did the right thing posting the actual email soliciting DNA samples. But you ruined your image! Now folks know that you actually have a relationship with Tony. Think some of the personal attacks against you will stop? nah! Great job as always. I appreciate you. mjam

Hey Arch... just got back from Florida via Sarasota!

Stopped in, chatted with Carrie, and Matt Thomas asked me and wife to do the digital camera eye test and DNA swab for the 1000 additional needed. Also two prior to us just finished.

We didn't get any $5 Barnes and Nobel coupon, nor would I have taken one. Participating in my investment was satisfying enough.

by the way....any of you jerks from RB sending Carrie the obscene emails just shows you for the slime that you are!

Can't wait to see the "not me, I didn't do it", guilty feelings start to show.
