Visiting and using a site is much different than seeing a name on a box.

They will get visits and the adults supervising(hopefully) may even buy something themselves.

To redeem prizes you have to visit, advertising won't do this.

I hope you learned something here. GLTY

You're missing the point. FRZT and Paws can now use #amazon #starbucks in all of their posts. Now when someone searches Amazon or Starbucks, they will also see Garfield Go. Plus, giving away real rewards attracts players and intices them into spending money.

In app purchases are how this game is monetized. When people first started playing Pokémon, there was no need to spend money, but once they started running out of pokeballs, they would spend money to get more. Not everyone, but a certain percentage of players spend money on these in game purchases.

For Garfield go you need to feed Garfield certain foods to get treasure boxes. The better the food, I.e., lasagna, the better the box. I believe feeding him lasangna gets you a diamond treasure chest, which gives the player the best chance to find the gift cards.

Now in order to get lasangna, you have to "cook it" which takes time, an hour I think. You can speed up that time by using coins. Players will run out of coins fast if they choose to speed up the cooking time. Certain impatient players will spend money on those coins instead of spending hours finding them.

And That is how this game will make money. If there are enough downloads, there will always be a certain percentage of players who will pay money to speed up the process.
