Yes companies give away free stuff all the time to get people in their doors. Also they get free advertising on a soon to be very popular game. It's a win win for all! FRZT

Of course the objective your saying is what they aim for but companies don't just waste their ad money for little return.

It's not worth $10 per customer to giveaway gift cards. That's so costly to acquire a new buyer when there are cheaper means out there.

Facebook ads you can get a lot more people to your website far cheaper. $1-4 per lead. And you can actually get full data statistics on who came. Much more useful.

Amazon already uses affiliate model to advertise. They created one of best affiliate and longest affiliate programs on the net.

That's what this company should do. Put ads on the app. Because right now there clearly paying out of their own pocket for the gift cards.

Has anyone even tested they work?
Also how often can a person get one? The easier it is the worst it is for profitability.

The harder it is to earn gift cards better for profit but then will users stay or keep playing? If it takes forever to get one.

Is there any point in playing the game if you can't win prizes? If that's a no. Then the game enjoyment won't last long nor any chance at profitability.
