The only value press releases have are those which content translate into sales or something equally tangible as seen in a financial filing. The last Q is pretty much the same as all those preceding, so a newly interested person can save a lot of time perusing them all and get a firm understanding of the company from it.
The only purpose of a financial message board is to promote a better scenario for the company than the financial filings do. That, or try and explain why they don't portray an accurate picture for the future.
