I know several people who buy from Dell. Only three things really matter to them, how cheap it is, what features it has at that price and that it is a Dell brand ;-). Processor cpu does not really come into it for these types of cost conscious non-enthusiast customers. For someone like Dell who is always looking to get best value from all component suppliers then offering AMD is long long overdue.
I dunno, another downturn like 2000 and it get's dropped like ibm and gateway dumped them.... look out below. They could get into serious .45 trouble or Intel could come out with a much more compelling problem, ATI could cause them fits.. it's an unknown.
