Chery produces cars under custom brands for anyone who pays them to do. Just look at the Karry K60. Same car as the Cowin v3 (used by ZMJY), just a different logo and for the Russian market
So if you want to start a car brand, and don't care too much about research and development or safety features, all you need is a cheesy name and a Chinese manufacturer's catalogue of readily available models. The reason these cars have not made into into the US and European market is twofold: They have failed every crash test there is and they suck at technological innovation and quality.
