This reminds me of Newport and the various iterations of Windows it survived. It seemed that Microsoft enjoyed changing their rounding rules every once in a while with newer versions of their operating systems. Newport always rounded just fine early on, but each new OS would require going through the entire code to look for errors in rounding even when they were trivial. UGH!
Maybe that's what has been going on at AMTD. I'd hate to think what a code review would cost in a big company like that!
