I'm of the opinion that if a CEO of a public company is foolish enough to engage in such rhetoric on message boards, let the post stand as evidence of that folly.

I'm inclined to agree. Let that stuff stay on the record. Though of course even if the post is deleted, you have it in your archives.

Forgive the intrusion into this topic as I was doing some research into CSHD.

As for CEO's posting on Message Boards I think it has more to do with age than anything else. Most CEO's are "older" 50's+. People in thier mid to late 30's such as Mr. Harris probably were around when the internet explosion drew many of us into USNET/Telnet chat groups and message boards. Now we don't think much of it with online dating, Myspace etc even Ihub. The fact remains tho, if you grew up during those early years when the terms "flaming", "trolls" and "lol" were originated you might tend to come across more like a "poster" than a CEO. Just something to think about, old habits don't die, not even if you are a CEO.
