I honestly think a bit of both.
They are skilled and experienced (prior for St Jude and Greatbatch), but are coming into a tightly contested marketplace.

For the spinal stim market they are the "5th player"; Boston Sci, Medtronic, St Jude, Nevro.
Not in 5th place with regards to quality of equipment or company, just market capture-- which is what I feel will grow substantially. Even more so if they obtain FDA/CEmark for their sacral device.

In terms of quality hardware, software, and patient peripherals I would rank the companies
1->5-- Boston, Nuvectra, St Jude (Abbott), Medtronic, Nevro.

Puts them in a sweet spot for organic growth to build their own company up, OR for a larger pharma to snap them up (Ie, Abbott and St Jude) as BP sees the writing on the wall where potential electrical management of physiologic medical issues is becoming possible.

Cit, another company to seriously research is Galvani Bioelectonics.
They are a collaboration between Google and GSK to develop micro implantables for medical issues; diabetes, blood pressure, etc. When/if that is mainstream-- BOOM!

Sorry, short answer re buyout-- if the price was right? I bet they'd step aside.
