Perhaps naivety lured them into the extremely optimist scenario that no one would actually inject Opana. I was less worried about the 8 than I was in the FDA actually approving it.

My problem is at their AdComm meeting for the recommendation.. The vote was 18-8... What were the other 8 thinking????.. These are the things I worry about with the FDA

Yeah, before we send Gottlieb a bottle of champagne and a hooker, let's remember the FDA Ad Comm voted 18-8 to remove Opana ER even before he was FDA Commish.
