Actually, the Correct Alex Rodriguez: Chron, and Pyramid Scams!

Well, Alex himself says I have the right Alex.

Let's look at his "LinkedIn" profile, shall we?

Well, there is our bearded A-Rod, billing himself as "President & Secretary at The Chron Organization, Inc. (Ticker: CHRO)."

Let's look a little further down, shall we?

Stream Energy (Ignite, Powered by Stream Energy)
Co-Founder, Managing Director, Operations
Company Name Stream Energy (Ignite, Powered by Stream Energy)
Dates Employed Aug 2004 – May 2008 Employment Duration 3 yrs 10 mos
Location Dallas, TX

Stream Energy is a competitive energy retailer of electricity and natural gas. It blazed a trail in 2005 and 2006 via its wholly owned network marketing company (Ignite) and quickly became known as "arguably the fastest growing start up in US History".

I was an original co-founder and served as Managing Director of Operations, reporting directly to the Chairman. In this capacity, my initial oversight included Retail and Wholesale Operations, Customer Care, Strategy Development, Supplier Planning and Product Development. This was one of the best experiences of my life.

The Stream Energy photo just confused you because it was at least ten years and a few pounds ago.

As far as Epiq, you might want to look at A-Rod's blog:

Specifically, this quote:

In late 2004, myself and two associates founded a new entity called Stream Energy (Ignite), where I served as Managing Partner of Operations. Much to my delight, Stream Energy was one of the fastest growing startup entities in US business history, almost surpassing WalMart and Google to the billion-dollar mark in its fourth and fifth year of operations.

Problem with that being, of course, that this "billion-dollar company" exists mainly in the promotional materials of Stream Energy. Quoting from Stream Energy's "Wikipedia" site:

In 2010, the sign-up cost in Georgia was $300, with a $25 monthly fee to maintain a website. Associates typically received between $0.50 and $3 a month for each customer they recruited.

According to Stream Energy's income disclosure statement, among sales associates who maintained their position qualifications throughout calendar year 2013 and earned at least one commission or bonus payment (representing 84.5% of all sales associates), the average annual income was $686.90; for the majority (81.9%) of those associates, the average annual income was $117.12.
