Companies that are waiting for a ticker change are waiting, because, they do not want information put into the public domain about their new company associated with the old ticker. It's that simple.
Mr Oroveck also told me that there's only ONE person in the whole of FINRA that deals with ticker changes. That's why it takes so long.
On advantage or concern, depending what side you are on, is the Company releasing a fluff PR just to appease the shareholders, causing us to drop off further. IMO, people will get shook and longs will load the low SP. I just hate seeing that much volatility and providing ammo for the naysayers.
