Yes it does indeed... Major retail paradigm shift been going on... I mentioned this over a year ago what was to come, because as the population grows in US, and the overall wage average is where it is, more people are "working poorer" today than ever- and there was an oversaturation of "everything retail" since 1st wave baby boomers started to retire on wealth earned from another time in USA we will NEVER have again in our lifetimes!

This factor alone will see so damn much vacant commercial retail space everywhere, and one reason you are seeing major new builds of Dollar General Stores everywhere and in every remote countryside across America as they have been quietly doing...

People in general, verses population levels and "what living wage jobs are there today", for most part are way out of balance, as most are worse off than ever before... Basic costs of living have far outstripped earnings today...

EX: Here in NC, you can work full time, still fall under State poverty level, and be legally able to get Medicaid and how so many here are living today...
