Good post. But they most certainly should plan to start with one jet. That's the easiest and least expensive way to get certified. However, they need to have more planes lined up to put into service almost immediately after the successful certification. It will be a very rocky start as long as there's only one jet available. Need spare aircraft and flexibility.
Rule of thumb is planning 3 to 4 months ahead to put each new plane into service due to aircraft conformity, pilot, flight attendant, dispatcher hiring and training as well as other support requirements, manual revisions, etc.
Most of the discussions I'm reading here are pretty minor in nature (name change, lease, etc.)
There's only really one important issue and that's financing. So far all I've heard is "Don't worry about it, its taken care of." Financing is ALWAYS the biggest issue and I haven't heard one thing that leads me to believe its lined up yet. Guess we'll see.
